Overview

By using a batch import and move functionality, you can efficiently manage and update your inventory information, saving time and reducing the likelihood of errors associated with manual data entry.

Import Equipment

Items can be added in two different ways. The manual import is mostly to add a few items quickly. The batch import using the .CSV Template is generally used to import in gaiia multiple items at the same time to the same place.

Manual import

Inventory > Item > Click Add items > Select Assignee, Manufacturer and Model > Select Enter data manually > Type Serial Number > Click Add

Import with .CSV Template

You must select the model first as the template is model-specific.

Inventory > Item > Click Add items > Select Assignee, Manufacturer and Model > Download .CSV template > Fill the information in the template > Import template > Click Add

Tips: If there is any error in your import, a pop-up page will appear and you can then fix these errors.

Warning: Download the new template for each new model to import. Each model has its template.

Move Inventory

The ability to move items from one location to another has been made easy with the Move Inventory feature. You can move items from any place to a single location, one model at a time.

Same as for the import, there is two way to proceed: manually or with a .CSV template.

Manual Move

Inventory > Move Inventory > Select New location, New zone, Manufacturer and Model > Select Enter data manually > Type Serial Number > Click Add > When all items to move are added, Click Move

Move with .CSV Template

Inventory > Item > Click Add items > Select Assignee, Manufacturer and Model > Download .CSV template > Fill the information in the template > Import template > Click Add

Tips: If there is any error in your import, you will be able to see those errors in the table. you can then fix errors in your document and retry the import.
