Overview
Address Verification Overrides allow users to change the information received from the provider portal. For example, a user might want to make an address available because you know it should be on the network, but the address verification is showing the opposite. This could be represented by a building that was subdivided and now has units: floor or basement.
As another example, a user may want to prevent a customer from subscribing by blocking the address (ex. delinquent account being overdue).

Inputting/Editing Fields
When filling out the modal to add/edit an address, you must consider what information you are adding. Our address verification tool uses third-party address verification services. Make sure this is an existing address in the provider portal, otherwise, the activation request will certainly fail.
- Warning: Add a unit if this concerns a unit only, or the override will be on the wrong address. Most addresses with units also have an address without a unit, which is considered as another address.
- Tip: you can add an asterisk (*) in the unit field to make the change to all units under this address.
The following fields can be edited in the address override modal:
- The Provider field marks the network owner on which the override will take place.
-
Maximum download speed will have a direct impact on the plans seen by the customers at this address in the order and on the client portal when changing speed.
- Warning: Make sure to check with the provider that the top speed corresponds to the network capabilities. It could be possible to override slower speed than reality if you want to prevent the end user from taking too much bandwidth.
- Warning: download speeds are listed in kbps. Note that 1GB = 1000000 kbps.
- Notes help better understand when looking at the override later on.
- Available: if this box is checked, the override will make this address available no matter what the provider portal indicates. If left unchecked, the address will be blocked to prevent any end user from subscribing to this address.
- Commercial: if this box is checked, the address will be marked as commercial and the activation will follow the commercial activation process. If left unchecked, this will stay as a residential address.
