In this article, we’ll be covering what categories are, and how they can help you stay organized when creating Products, Inventory items, or opening Tickets.
What is a Category?
A category is as it sounds; it functions as a label that gets associated with an Inventory item or a Product to denote what it is. All Inventory items and Products require a category.
When creating a Product category, think about things like Discounts, Internet Plans, Misc fees, etc. This helps you keep track of what each Product is used for.
For Inventory items, think about things like a Modem, Router, or an ONU. This way, at a quick glance, you’ll know what type the item is.
