Overview
In this article, we’ll be covering the Activity section, and some of the events you might see in there.
What is the Activity section?
The Activity Log, located within the Details section of an Account, highlights the activities on the account.
Any time a modification is made to the account, in any capacity, an entry is created within the Activity section. The Activity will denote what was completed, when it was completed, and, in most cases, by who. However, if someone changes something that triggers a series of automations, only the original event will have the User’s name associated with it.
The Activity section can help you view what has happened in the past that might have caused an issue, or help you confirm that something that had to be completed was done.
What is in the Activity section?
Included below are some examples of what you might see appear in the Activity section.
- Adding a Product
- Updating account details
- Assigning Inventory
- Adjusting payment method
- Adjusting billing settings
- Client portal related activities
Here is an example of the Activity entry when a User adjusts a customer’s mailing address. We can see the date (Today), the time (11:10am), who (Tyler C.), the what (updated mailing address), and from what it was updated.
The activity log will only display the activities up to a certain point. When you reach the bottom, you will see two options. Selecting Back to Top
will take to back to the top of the activity log, and pressing the Load More
button will load all activities since the accounts creation.
