Overview
This guide explains how to manage Broadband Facts labels to comply with FCC regulations for ISPs operating in the United States, but not exclusively for American ISPs. These labels ensure customers receive standardized and clear information about internet service plans.
Setting Global Information and Default Values
Begin by setting up global information and default values to streamline label creation. These settings apply across all new labels, minimizing repetitive data entry.
- Go to Product > Setting > Broadband Facts (ensure Broadband Facts are enabled).
- Fill out the required fields for global information and default values.
These settings can be updated at any time to adapt to new requirements.
Viewing and Accessing Labels
Navigate to the Broadband Facts section to view all labels associated with your products. Expand the product line to see its versions and associated labels.
Steps to Create or Edit a Label
- Select the label you wish to edit or publish and click the ellipsis menu, then choose
Edit label version
. - While on the open modal, populate the required fields. The label preview updates in real-time.
- Click
Save as draft
to save your progress without publishing. - When finalized, click
Save and publish
in the top-right corner.
Published labels cannot be edited. To make changes, create a new label version.
Creating a New Label Version
A new label version must also be created if a new product version is created. Follow the same steps as creating a label, selecting the new product version during the second step.
Unpublishing or Deleting a Label
In compliance with FCC regulations:
- Published labels cannot be archived, deleted, or edited.
- To make changes, create a new product version and start over with a new label.
As a customer, Where to Find Broadband Fact Labels
During Checkout
Potential customers can view the label by clicking View Broadband Facts
during checkout. The label is also accessible in the review step.
Client Portal
Customers can access Broadband Fact labels under the My Service section in the client portal.
Broadband Label URL
You can share the broadband label URL with your customer. To access a label URL, go to the broadband fact section, expand the product you want to share and click View broadband fact URL
in the ellipsis menu. The link can be easily shared with potential customers. This will redirect them to the checkout, pointing to the selected broadband fact label.
