Overview

In this article, we’ll be reviewing what a Coverage Area is, and how you can use them within your gaiia instance.

What is a Coverage Area?

A Coverage Area is just as it sounds—a specified area where a specific product is available, or where a technician can complete work. Coverage Areas can be configured at different levels of granularity, from a GeoJSON file to being available across an entire country. This allows you to configure the availability of products or technician work areas to your liking.

When creating a Product Coverage Area, this defines where the product will be available. If a customer’s address falls within this Coverage Area, they’ll be eligible for the product.

When creating a Workforce Coverage Area, this applies to your technicians and typically highlights the area in which the technician can complete work.
