Overview
gaiia now supports mobile services. In this article, we’ll be covering how you can subscribe to new mobile services or port over your existing services through the checkout.
Adding mobile services from the checkout
You are able to either subscribe through the checkout for your mobile services, or they can be added later, manually, by an agent. To start, we’ll go through the checkout and how you can complete this self-serve.
If you have mobile products configured, while going through the checkout, they’ll appear in a new section after you select an internet plan. Mobile plans are optional, and you will be able to select an “I’m not interested” button instead.
At this time, it’s not possible to exclusively subscribe for a mobile plan through the checkout.
Continue through the checkout as normal until you reach the Set up your mobile plan page. You’ll need to fill out the information here to proceed with your mobile plan. We’ll cover both use cases below.

Once you’ve filled out the above fields, continue through the checkout and be sure to confirm all of the details in the Review page are accurate before confirming your order.
Next Steps After Checkout
Regardless of whether you’re porting over an existing phone number or requesting a new one, you’ll have some steps to take.
New Phone Number
Once you’ve completed the checkout, you’ll receive an email regarding your eSIM activation titled Mobile Activation. In this email, you’ll need to scan the QR code, answer 2 or 3 questions (depending on your device’s version), and then you’ll be good to go! Your eSIM will be active and ready to use.
Porting an Existing Number
Porting an existing number requires a bit more work. Once you’ve completed the checkout, you’ll receive an email to create your Client Portal. You’ll need to do this first before proceeding. This is because gaiia requires you to provide the necessary information to port over your phone number, and this information is provided via the Client Portal.
You will need to click Verify activation status
and follow the steps and provide all necessary information in the respective fields. Completing this will start a process in the backend to process the port.
The porting process depends on the carrier, and the delay can vary widely ( up to 72+ hours)
Once the porting goes through, you’ll receive the Mobile Activation email and be able to scan the QR code to activate your eSIM. Once that’s done, you’ll be able to start using your new mobile services.
If there are any issues with the porting, you’ll receive an email, and another prompt will appear in your Client Portal with an action required by you.
And just like that, you’ve successfully registered through the checkout and activated your mobile services!
