Overview

Sometimes, customers may change their mind about wanting mobile services or, since gaiia only recently started supporting mobile services, may already have an account and want to add mobile services to it. In any case, we’ll cover adding new mobile services and porting over existing mobile services, directly to a gaiia account.

Adding a Mobile Service Through gaiia

New Mobile Service

  1. Start by adding the mobile subscription to the customer’s account Billing > Subscriptions > + Subscription. Make sure that the subscription you’re adding has the setting "Assign this subscription as pending until activated" toggled on, as the subscription must be pending in order for the workflow to be run.

  2. Once the subscription has been added, click on Workflows > +Launch Workflow and then click on Mobile. From here, a modal will appear where you’ll have to choose the type of mobile workflow you’d like to launch. Since you’re adding a mobile service, select Mobile Activation. Fill in only the first three fields, and hit Launch. If you’d like to customize it further, you can fill in the first five fields. The last two fields are for porting an existing mobile service.

  3. This will generate a Workflow where you can track all of the steps the automation is taking to configure this new mobile service. If done successfully, the customer will then receive an email titled Mobile Activation where they can scan the QR code, answer a few questions, and begin using their new mobile services!

Porting an Existing Mobile Service

Fill in all of the fields here and then hit Launch.

The name and email override fields are the only optional fields when porting a number.

  1. This will generate a Workflow where you can track all of the steps the automation is taking to port over this existing mobile service. Similar to the process from the checkout, once this workflow is run, the customer will see a new prompt on their Client Portal where they will have to verify the activation status and provide some required information for the porting process to continue.

  2. Once the information has been validated and processed, the customer will receive the Mobile Activation email where they can scan the QR code and begin using their new mobile services!
  3. If there is an issue with the porting process, the customer will receive an email, and another prompt will appear in their Client Portal where they’ll have an action required and provide the necessary information.

And just like that, you’ve added a mobile service to a customer’s account directly through gaiia!
