Overview
After a customer subscribes for mobile services, they may want to adjust their plan or realize that they no longer need their plan. In this article, we’ll cover how you can adjust their current services or cancel their mobile service.
Adjusting Mobile Services
To adjust the mobile plan on a customer’s account, they’ll first need to have an active one on their account.
Start by navigating to the Workflows tab in the customer’s account, and click + Launch Workflow
. From here, click Mobile
and then choose Mobile Plan Modification in the drop-down list.
- Active Mobile Billing Subscription
- If you have only one active mobile subscription, it will auto-populate, but if you have multiple, you’ll have to choose the one you want to change.
- New Mobile Product
- Select the new mobile product that will replace the previous one.
- Click
Launch
.
Once this is done, the subscription is scheduled to be modified at the end of the billing cycle and once this takes effect, the customer will receive an email confirmation titled Your Mobile Plan Modification is Complete!
When adjusting a mobile service plan, no pro-ration will occur.
Cancelling Mobile Services (Scheduled)
When it comes to cancelling mobile services for a customer, this is a straightforward process. Simply launch a Mobile workflow, select Mobile Cancellation from the drop-down, select the active mobile billing subscription you want to cancel, and hit Launch
!
This will perform several actions including scheduling the cancellation of the mobile service plan to occur at the end of the month, un-assigning it from their subscriptions, and removing their phone item from the equipment tab.
No pro-ration will occur with the cancellation, and any un-invoiced charges will remain.
Cancelling Mobile Services (Immediately)
If you're looking to immediately cancel the mobile service plan, you'll have to complete the above steps, log directly into the Gigs platform and manually cancel the mobile service plan for this customer. The workflow will be automatically completed and the communication will be sent accordingly.
