Overview

A new login experience is coming to the Field Service App starting July 14, 2025.

The login methods now align with the same login options available on gaiia’s web application—making it easier for users who are switching between platforms.

Important: Users must log in via their organization’s preferred method. Not all login methods will be available to all users.

All login methods allow users with access to multiple tenants to log in, then select the appropriate one. By default, the login method will mirror what’s configured on gaiia web (https://app.gaiia.com/).

What's changing

Magic links (existing, UI change only)

Magic links are still supported, but they now appear below the – or – divider in the new interface.

OAuth (new capability)

Users can now sign in using their company’s Google or Microsoft credentials—if enabled by the Organization.

Password login (new capability)

This option is new and specific to the Field Service App. It is not available on gaiia Web.

If a password is entered incorrectly 10 times, the account will be locked for 1 hour.

Cross-organization password login is also enabled. This means that if a user has set a password and has access to multiple Organizations (that allow this method), they can use a single login and choose their Organization after authentication.

This login method is disabled by default for all Organizations. It’s typically used for internal testing. There is no security risk unless an Organization decides to enable it.

If this method is not enabled, it won’t work for most users. We recommend communicating this clearly to technicians to avoid frustration.
