Overview

This release introduces powerful new features across workforce, billing, inventory, and notifications. Highlights include a new contract upload feature, enhanced checkout support for UK addresses, better handling of billing proration, and new filters for inventory views. We've also made backend performance improvements and API updates to support more visibility into auto-assignment failures.

User interface

  • Contract Manager: You can now upload signed contracts directly into gaiia and track important details like renewal dates and term lengths.
    • Only PDFs can be uploaded
    • This feature must be manually enabled — please contact us if you’d like to use it.

Checkout

  • UPRN support for UK addresses: We've added UPRN (Unique Property Reference Number) support to the product availability step using the Postcoder API. This improves accuracy when identifying UK addresses during checkout.

Notifications

  • Added detailed price information using new subscription merge tags in your templates:
    • {{billing.subscriptions.0.priceDisplay}}: Displays the most relevant price — whether it's the base price or an overridden one. Use this tag in most cases.
    • {{billing.subscriptions.0.priceOverrideInCents}}: Displays the overridden price, if available. Useful if you want to show a discount or special offer.
    • {{billing.subscriptions.0.version.price}}: (already existing) Displays the original product price from your catalog. Can be used to show “before and after” pricing.

Billing

  • [Fixed] Delinquent account reactivation now triggers proration — even if the customer has missed the invoice cycle. When reactivated, the system automatically charges a prorated debit for the period between reactivation and the end of the current billing cycle.

Inventory

  • Added new filters are available in Inventory > location > Items views.

  • The Assignee selector when adding inventory items is now split out into Location and Zone for greater precision.

Workforce

  • Performance optimization: Improved speed when searching work orders.
  • Permission update: Linking Work Orders to Tickets now works with any of the following permissions:
    • workforce
    • workforce > technician platform
    • workforce > work orders > view

API

  • [Workforce] The API now includes failure reasons for auto-assignment attempts. This provides better insight into why a work order was not automatically assigned.
