Overview
The Checkout URL setting allows you to configure which URL your users need to visit to access your checkout.
In this article, we’ll be covering how to set up your checkout URL for the first time, along with best practices and common troubleshooting questions.
When to use this feature
This feature is most useful when you’re preparing your checkout for the first time and want to make it accessible under your own domain. It ensures a professional experience for customers, builds trust with a consistent brand identity, and allows you to use a subdomain of your choice (e.g., order.mywebsite.com).
Requirements
To configure your checkout URL, you’ll need to be an admin in gaiia and also have access to your domain registrar’s DNS settings. Specifically, you’ll need permission to create and edit DNS records, including adding a CNAME entry that links your chosen subdomain to gaiia’s infrastructure.
Setting up your checkout URL for the first time
- Navigate to
Settings > Checkout - Enter the desired URL, which must include a subdomain and your domain, then click
