Connect gaiia's Snowflake reader account to Zoho Analytics

This guide explains how to connect your Snowflake reader account from gaiia to Zoho Analytics. It covers the recommended configuration for authentication and data access.

For detailed setup instructions, refer to Zoho’s official documentation.

Recommended connection method

Use key pair authentication

Key pair authentication is preferred because it avoids the need to manage Snowflake integration objects.

In this setup:

  • You generate a public key in Snowflake.
  • You provide that public key to Zoho during the setup.
  • Zoho uses the matching private key to authenticate.

Use Live Connect

Live Connect allows Zoho to query Snowflake directly, without importing data into Zoho.

Main benefits:

  • Data stays in Snowflake.
  • Queries return real-time results.
  • It’s more cost-effective than importing large datasets.

Live Connect performance depends on query complexity. For most users, it’s the most efficient and secure choice.

Steps to connect

  1. Read Zoho’s setup guide for Snowflake connections:
    Zoho Snowflake connection guide
  2. Select Key Pair Authentication and Live Connect as your configuration options.
  3. Generate a public key in your Snowflake reader account and provide it to Zoho.
  4. Complete the connection flow in Zoho Analytics.
