Overview
The featured bundles screen is a dedicated step in checkout that presents curated bundle options to customers before they proceed to building a plan. It gives you control over which bundles are highlighted and how they're displayed, making it easier for customers to choose a package that fits their needs.
In this article, we'll be covering how the featured bundles screen works in checkout and how to configure it in gaiia.
Understand how the featured bundles screen works
When a customer reaches the bundle selection step in checkout, they see a screen displaying your featured bundles. Each bundle card shows:
- Bundle name and description
- Monthly price
- Any applicable savings (e.g. a promotional discount applied for the first 12 months)
- Included plans and add-ons
- A customizable list of key features
Bundles can be displayed in one of two layouts: side-by-side (vertical tile) or as a stacked list (horizontal tile). One bundle per coverage area can be flagged as Most Popular, which displays a badge to draw customer attention to your preferred option.
At the bottom of the screen, customers can either select a bundle and continue, or choose Skip, build my own plan to proceed without selecting a featured bundle.
The featured bundles screen appears only if a featured bundle configuration has been created and activated for the relevant coverage area.
Configure featured bundles
Featured bundle configurations are managed in gaiia under Settings > Checkout - Featured > Featured bundles.
Create a new featured bundle
- Navigate to Featured bundles and click
Activateto add a new featured bundle. - Choose a Bundle plan display layout:
- Horizontal tile layout — displays bundles as a stacked list.
- Vertical tile layout — displays bundles side by side for direct comparison.
- Under Select bundles to appear on the featured page, add each bundle you want to surface. For each bundle:
- Select the product bundle from the dropdown.
- Assign coverage areas to control where this bundle is shown.
- Optionally check Selected by default to pre-select this bundle when the screen loads.
- Optionally, under Mark bundle(s) as Most Popular, select the bundle you want to badge as most popular. Only one bundle per coverage area will display the badge.
- Click

If you can't find the bundle you're looking for in the dropdown, use the Add a new one here link to create a new product bundle first.
Edit an existing configuration
- Navigate to Featured bundles and select View bundle details for the bundle you want to update.
- Optionally update the Featured section details field. This text appears as a tagline on the featured bundles screen in checkout (e.g. "Combine your services into one plan.").
- Adjust the layout, bundles, coverage areas, or Most Popular selection as needed.
- Click
Saveto apply your changes.
Understand bundle display and coverage areas
Each bundle added to a configuration can be assigned to one or more coverage areas. This means different bundles can be shown to customers depending on their service address. If multiple bundles are eligible for a customer's coverage area, all of them appear on the featured screen.
The Most Popular badge is coverage-area-specific: if you mark multiple bundles as Most Popular, only one will display the badge per coverage area.
