Overview

Checkout is the headline: everything after plan selection moves onto a single page. Around it, this release is mostly polish and reach. Tables across gaiia move onto their refreshed styling, work order tables gain the bulk actions the main list already had, and Service Planning opens up beyond a single day at a time. Workflows get a quieter list, user roles a builder can act on, and a couple of editor conveniences. This is a preview of what is coming so you can prepare.

User interface

The refreshed table styling reaches the rest of gaiia Expected: Releasing September 14th
Tables across gaiia move onto the styling from our design system, so they match the rest of the interface. This is a visual change rather than a functional one.

Analytics

The new Analytics experience reaches the remaining organizations Expected: Coming soon
Organizations still working in the legacy dashboards and reports are getting access to the new Analytics experience. The legacy dashboards and reports are due to be decommissioned on September 30th, so this is the step that gets everyone onto the version that stays. More details here: Getting started with the new Analytics experience

Duplicate a built-in report Expected: Releasing September 14th
Built-in reports open in the same editing view as your own reports, so you can duplicate one and adapt it instead of rebuilding a similar report from scratch.

Billing

Subscription items show the phone number they belong to Expected: Coming soon
Subscription items tied to a phone number (DID) show which number they belong to, so a voice subscription can be read without cross-referencing.

Checkout

Streamlined Checkout Expected: Releasing September 21st
Checkout is getting simpler: every step after plan selection — email capture, scheduling, payment, and the rest — moves into a single page with collapsible sections. The standalone review-order step goes away with it, since the Order Summary sidebar and the checkout sections already carry that information, and the in-line promo and referral code field is removed as well: it now lives only in the Order Summary sidebar. This is rolled out as an A/B test, so some of your customers may still see the previous multi-screen flow while others see the new one-page version. The new flow is visible in your sandbox from September 14th — write to support@gaiia.com if you would like earlier access.

The one-page checkout, with each step as a collapsible section

Buy more than one of an add-on or router Expected: Releasing September 14th
Customers can choose a quantity for add-on products and routers instead of being limited to one of each, both in checkout and in the client portal.

The order summary stays in view on long pages Expected: Releasing September 14th
The order summary stays visible as the customer scrolls, so the total and its breakdown remain on screen through the longer parts of checkout.

The plan tile layout setting saves again Expected: Releasing September 14th
The horizontal or vertical layout you pick for plan tiles under Checkout > Plans can be saved again, so the choice sticks for your checkout and client portal.

Conversations

Move through conversations with the keyboard Expected: Releasing September 14th
The conversations list and the messages inside a thread can be navigated from the keyboard, which is quicker than reaching for the mouse on a busy inbox.

Integrations

Use your own CA certificate with MySQL and FreeRADIUS Expected: Releasing September 14th
The MySQL query and transaction nodes and the FreeRADIUS integration accept a custom CA certificate, so a database that presents its own certificate authority can be reached with TLS verification left fully on. It is set per node or per integration.

Inventory

Assign users to an inventory location or zone Expected: Releasing September 14th
Users can be attached to an inventory location or zone, both when a location is created or edited, and from the zone list.. It is the first step toward a personal view of the stock you are responsible for, such as what is currently in your truck.

Network

Lead accounts in RADIUS mapping rules Expected: Releasing September 14th
Mapping rules in the FreeRADIUS integration can match accounts with a Lead status, alongside Pending. It suits contractor-installed accounts that reach the network before they are formally activated.

Tickets

Set the owning team on a ticket template Expected: Releasing September 14th
Ticket templates gain a Team field, so a template can pre-set the team that will own the tickets it creates. This follows the team assignment that arrived on tickets themselves.

Archiving a user group clears it from its tickets Expected: Releasing September 14th
When a user group is archived, it is unassigned from the tickets it was on, so those tickets no longer point at a group that is no longer in use.

Workflows

A user's roles are available in the gaiia node Expected: Releasing September 14th
The Get Users action on the gaiia node returns each user's roles, so a workflow can act on the role someone holds.

Export a workflow diagram as an image Expected: Releasing September 14th
The graph view of any workflow can be exported as a PNG in one click, which makes a workflow easy to drop into a document or a review.

Close several editor tabs at once Expected: Releasing September 14th
Right-clicking a tab in the workflow editor offers to close that tab, the other tabs, the tabs to its right, or all of them. Unsaved changes across the batch are confirmed once instead of tab by tab.

Workforce

Pick a date range on Service Planning Expected: Releasing September 14th
Service Planning gains a date-range picker. You can set a fixed range or a relative one such as tomorrow, with This Week running Monday to Sunday, rather than looking at a single day at a time.

Bulk work order updates from any work order table Expected: Releasing September 14th
The multi-select and bulk status update already on the main Work Orders list extend to the work order tables embedded elsewhere, such as on an account, a commercial account, or a network site. Dispatchers working from one of those pages no longer have to go back to the main list.

How we use these release notes

These notes represent a projection of upcoming changes over the next few weeks. Timelines may vary, and details may evolve. We may also update this article with additional information once features are fully released. Note that we only share changes that have a visible impact on the platform — many more improvements ship behind the scenes without appearing in the release notes, whether to stability, performance (such as loading times), or security.
