Overview

Here is what is coming to gaiia. Items marked Releasing September 21st are expected with that release; items marked Coming soon are further out. This is a preview of what is coming so you can prepare.

Accounts

Move a sub-account to a different parent for businesses: Expected: Coming soon
Reassign a sub-account to another parent account directly, without raising a support request.

Change account tags: Expected: Coming soon
Change the tags associated to an account after creation.

Date picker for custom fields: Expected: Coming soon
Custom fields can be configured as a date, so dates are picked from a calendar and stored consistently instead of being typed as free text.

Analytics

New Analytics Experience available to all customers: Expected: Releasing September 21st
The new Analytics experience is now available in every workspace. Open Analytics or Reports and turn on Try new experience in the top-right corner. The same toggle switches you back.

It runs on a new analytics engine that is faster, more powerful, and gives you access to much more of your data through topics. Build your own reports and dashboards, share them, schedule deliveries, and set alerts.

For more details on the transition, check out this article: Getting started with the new Analytics experience

Action required All workspaces move to the new experience on October 1. Custom reports are not moved automatically. Contact our support team now to have yours migrated, so they're ready before the switch.

Duplicate built-in reports to make them your own: Expected: Releasing September 21st
Built-in reports in the new Analytics experience can now be duplicated. Open any built-in report and use File › Duplicate to create a copy in your custom reports, then adjust the fields, filters, and layout to fit your needs. You can also use Explore and Workbook to dig deeper into the data behind a report without changing it.

Built-in reports remain read-only. These options are available to users with permission to create and edit custom reports.

Organize custom reports and dashboards in folders: Expected: Coming soon
You will soon be able to organize your custom reports and dashboards in folders in the new Analytics experience. Create folders and subfolders, move reports and dashboards into them, and create new reports directly inside a folder. Reports and dashboards shared with you directly are listed under Shared with me.

Folders also make sharing simpler. Share a folder with specific users or everyone in your organization as Viewer, Editor, or Manager, and everything inside inherits that access. Built-in report categories are unchanged.

Clearer Analytics permissions in role settings: Expected: Coming soon
Analytics permissions in role settings will now be easier to read and configure. Dashboards and Reports each have their own section, and the custom reports permissions are grouped together: view custom reports, create new reports, and edit existing reports. Each permission now comes with a short description explaining what it grants.

No action is needed. Existing roles keep the same access as before.

Billing

Search by subscription metadata: Expected: Releasing September 21st
If additional attributes are stored on the subscription, such as a circuit ID, accounts can now be found by entering these values in our global search.

% Fees and discounts with decimals: Expected: Releasing September 21st
We’ve added support for % fees and discounts to be created with decimals to allow for more granular application of these items.

Delay autopay when a grace period is applied: Expected: Coming soon
Should a grace period be applied to an account where autopay has been enabled, it will be delayed until that grace period expires.

Invoice overdue events in workflows: Expected: Coming soon
We have added new events for workflows that will indicate when an invoice becomes overdue. This allows for workflows to be built around when this event occurs.

Restrict discounts by product: Expected: Coming soon
Discounts can now be configured to only apply to items within a certain category or set of products. This will allow discounts to be targeted to certain items on an invoice.

Checkout

Improved order summary visibility on long checkout pages: Expected: Releasing September 21st
On desktop, the order summary now stays sticky and fully visible as customers scroll up or down any checkout plan screen — so they can always see their order details, even on longer pages.

Checkout is getting simpler: Expected: Releasing September 21st
Every step after plan selection — email capture, scheduling, payment, and more — moves into a single page with collapsible sections. The standalone review-order step goes away with it, since the Order Summary sidebar and the checkout sections already carry that information. The in-line promo and referral code field is removed as well: it now lives only in the Order Summary sidebar.

This will be rolled out as an A/B test, so some of your customers may still see the previous multi-screen flow while others see the new one-page version. You can preview the new flow in your sandbox.

Buy more than one of an add-on or router: Expected: Coming soon
In checkout, customers will be able to choose a quantity for add-on products and routers instead of being limited to one of each.

Communications

Use account custom fields in communication templates: Expected: Releasing September 21st
Account custom fields can now be used as merge tags. Field names are typed exactly as they appear in your custom field settings. Custom fields don't yet appear in template previews or test sends.

One header and footer across all communications: Expected: Coming soon
Set an email header and footer once and have them apply across your communications, instead of maintaining the same blocks in every template.

Send system emails from the right brand: Expected: Coming soon
If you operate more than one company in gaiia, system communications can be sent from a different email address for each company tag. Map a tag to a sender address in your SendGrid or Mailgun integration settings, and notifications to accounts, business accounts, and groups go out from the address matching their tag. Each address maps to one tag, and the option becomes available once company tags are configured.

Inventory

Users can now be assigned to inventory Locations and/or Zones: Expected: Releasing September 21st
You can now name a user as the owner of an inventory location or zone. That assignment is what defines "their" inventory. The UI supports it when creating and editing locations and zones, and the inventory service has a matching query that returns only the items assigned to the logged-in user. This is the groundwork for scoping moves and assigns to what a tech is actually responsible for.

Reporting

• Consumables and Non-Serialized Inventory reporting in Snowflake

• Inventory location/zone user assignment in Snowflake

API

• Inventory service now supports a query to fetch a user's own assigned items

• inventoryItemsQuery now supports filtering by model name

Network

Tarana TCS Integration - Network Monitoring: Expected: Releasing September 21st
By mapping “Network Monitoring” models and serial number fields in integration settings, mapped Tarana equipment can display live status monitoring data when viewed on Equipment cards in the UI.

Tarana TCS Integration - Product Mappings: Expected: Releasing September 21st
The Tarana TCS Integration now allows products to be bound to a Tarana SLA profile. The available profiles load live from the TCS API into a dropdown, eliminating the need to paste a profile ID.

Network sites can now trigger workflows: Expected: Releasing September 21st
Network Site is now selectable as the manual trigger object when building a workflow. Additionally, we now show a new Workflows tab on the network site detail page to view and start site-scoped workflow runs. The use case that drove it: run a diagnostic across every device hanging off a tower without hand-picking each device.

Allow network sites to be created without a postal address: Expected: Releasing September 21st
Towers and cabinets in the middle of nowhere don't have street addresses, but the API demanded line 1, postal code, locality, region and country on every site. Address is now optional in the UI, the public API and CSV import, coordinates still work, and existing API clients are unaffected.

Nokia Altiplano Integration - Multi-Instance Support: Expected: Releasing September 21st
You can now map multiple instances of Nokia Altiplano in a single gaiia instance.

FreeRADIUS Integration - Custom CA Input: Expected: Releasing September 21st
The FreeRADIUS install form gets a custom CA field, shown only when SSL is on.

Projects

Find projects in universal search: Expected: Releasing September 21st
Projects are now available in universal search, so you can jump straight to a project from the search bar instead of navigating to the account first.

Change a project's type after it's created: Expected: Coming soon
Set or change the type on an existing project, rather than having to recreate it with the right type.

Project creation controls in workflows: Expected: Coming soon
Use project creation as a trigger or node in workflows, and set specific project types and form details when creating a new project via workflow.

Project ticket order: Expected: Coming soon
When creating tickets as part of a project type, the order of those tickets in Projects>Tickets will now match what is shown in the Project Type settings.

Tickets

Assign tickets to a team: Expected: Releasing September 21st
Tickets can now be assigned to a team as well as to an individual. Set the team from the ticket side panel, when creating a ticket, or on a ticket template so every ticket created from it starts with the right team. Teams come from your user groups, and each change is recorded in the ticket's Updates tab. Assigning a team doesn't send an email to its members, so keep using assignees where someone needs a notification. Set a team on a ticket mailbox and tickets created from inbound email will be assigned to that team automatically.

Find your team's tickets faster: Expected: Releasing September 21st
The tickets list has a Team column and a Team filter. Select more than one team at a time, combine it with your existing filters, and save the result as a custom view.

How we use these release notes
